Now, viewers may have heard that “Code Geass Season 3”  is a feature film called “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection.” But here’s an interesting turn of events that some may not yet realize, Emperor Lelouch Lamperouge is alive in the film.

What is the future of Season 3? Sunrise studio has just launched a film called Lelouch of the Resurrection. No matter what you read about season 3 of the anime, the series is still to be revealed. Let’s see what it is before we get to the main topic.

There were 25 episodes of season 1 and 2 respectively. The anime in the family was a massive hit. People of many different interests, thanks to its charm, fell in love with the show. The show’s highly intellectual games are just too good.

The Past of Code Geass

Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion (also known in Japanese as Kōdo Giasu Hangyaku no Rurūshu) is an anime television series.

Adapted by Sunrise Studio. It was directed by Gorō Taniguchi and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi. Clamp are the Character Artists of the show. It was first aired on October 5, 2006.

The Protagonist

Lelouch vi Britannia, the son of the Emperor of Britannia, Charles zi Britannia, and the late Imperial Consort Marianne, was born on December 5, 1999 a.t.b., making him the Eleventh Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire.

Before his his mother’s murdering and his sister’s disability in the same occurrence, he was set to be the seventeenth heir to the throne. Following this, a ten-year-old Lelouch Lamperouge addressed the Emperor, accusing him of abandoning his mother and even relinquishing his claim to the throne.

As a result, his father exiled him to Japan, where he was used as a political pawn in the Sakuradite war. When he was a child, he was deported to Japan as a political prisoner.

Suzaku Kururugi was the first person he encountered during his stay in the Kururugi family, with whom the youthful Lelouch Lamperouge did not immediately connect in a cordial manner until later becoming acquainted.

When Britannia eventually constructed the Knightmare Frames fleet and prepared to invade Japan to grab ownership of the Sakuradite mines, Lelouch Lamperouge, fearful for his and his sister’s protection, masked their real identity and sought the help of the Ashford family, who were his mother’s supporters.

The death of his mother and his father’s seeming indifference to it were devastating blows to Lelouch Lamperouge. He also wants to learn the truth behind his mother’s death, given she was assassinated in the Aries Imperial Palace, which terrorists would have been tough to breach without being detected.

Lelouch Lamperouge assumes the secret identity Zero Code Geass, a mysterious, masked revolutionary cloaked in a black helmet and cloak, shortly after acquiring the power of Geass from C.C. A movable plate over Lelouch’s left eye allows him to use his Geass.

He establishes the Black Knights under this pretence, which are initially made up of members of Kaname Ohgi’s resistance group. This vigilante group’s purpose is to wage a battle against powerful persons who mistreat the powerless, which he later expands to include reconstructing Japan as a sovereign nation.

C.C. bestows Lelouch’s Geass to him, granting him “The Power of Absolute Obedience,” which allows him to plant orders in a person’s mind upon eye contact in a manner similar to hypnosis. The emergence of a Geass Sigil in his left eye indicates that his Geass has been activated.

Once the Sigil projected from his sight to theirs, the commands given in this state are inscribed into the minds of the targeted targets. Lelouch Lamperouge was able to manage the activation of Geass at first, but he eventually lost control and suffered from “runaway Geass” near the end of the first series.

Plot Summary

The Code Geass Season 1 story follows Emperor Lelouch Lampeouge, Brittania’s former royalty, as a student and the leading protagonist. One day, in a dangerous situation, he finds himself in a crossfire between the rebel forces of Area 11 and the oppressors of Brittany. He is lucky to be able to escape.

He then meets C.C., a beautiful green hair woman who gives him the “Kings ‘ Strength,” Geass. It let Lelouch Lamperouge, without doubt, make someone he makes eye contact with follow him. Realizing the immense power that he has, he continues his quest under Zero’s identity to take revenge on Brittania.

After the eventful Black Revolution, a year has passed; the failed attempt to topple the British Empire, led by Zero Code Geass, who is missing. The resistance group of the Black Knights –Area 11 is at a loss when their leader, Zero Code Geass, is gone, they find themselves powerless in the battle against Brittania, which has now increased drastically in power to prevent a future revolt like the Black Rebellion.

Before to main events, the Eleventh Prince of Britannia, Lelouch vi Britannia, and his sister, Princess Nunnally vi Britannia, resided in Pendragon, the Holy Britannian Empire’s nation’s capital, with their strict father, Emperor Charles zi Britannia, and their mother. Their mother was suddenly and ruthlessly shot to death when Lelouch and Nunnally were 10 and six years old, respectively.

Nunnally was eventually caught in the crossfire, unable to walk and blinded by the agony of seeing her mother’s murder. Lelouch Lamperouge was enraged that his father did nothing at all to solve the crime, so he resigned his throne and was given to the Kururugi Shrine in Japan, where he and his sister were cared for.

Suzaku Kururugi became friends with Emperor Lelouch Lamperouge at this time, but they were split due to the Second Pacific War, which ended Japan’s sovereignty in 2010 in the given calendar due to Britannia’s introduction of combat machines known as Knightmare frames into battle. As a sarcastic gesture to the vanquished nation’s month-long defeat, the defeated nation’s name was changed to “Area 11.”

Later, they were accepted into the Ashford Academy, which is run by the Ashford Foundation, for which their mother served as a test pilot. They were provided a maid, Sayoko Shinozaki, to help with Nunnally’s care, and they went into hiding for years, going by the alias Lamperouge.

Emperor Lelouch Lamperouge, Code Geass Zero’s real identity, has lost all his memory of his role as Zero, as a regular high school student living a peaceful life with his loved ones. C.C., his former partner, is not pleased that things turned out and decides to take credit for helping Lelouch restore his memories, hoping to awaken genius Zero.

Code Geass Characters with Code Geass Cast:-

Lelouch Lamperouge is the main character of Code Geass Season 3, with CC, Suzaku, and others. They all have major roles in this season.

C.C.

Code Geass CC, Also known as C2 Code Geass, is immortal, and with enough time, she can heal from whatever wound (implied to also include decapitation). She is also unaffected by the passage of time. Apart from her immortality, C.C. has the ability to give the power of Geass on others, which manifests uniquely in each individual but generally has the ability to influence the minds of those who are subjected to it.

When Code Geass CC displays this power, the Geass emblem shines on her face, and she bears a comparable scar on her left breast. This scar corresponds to the wound she sustained when the nun who handed her the Code assaulted her. Britannia was intrigued by her abilities and imprisoned her for research purposes.

Her Code enables her to recognise persons who are related to Geass or who are essential to them. It enables Code Geass CC to track down her own contractors, even from afar, and confirm who has a Geass power or who doesn’t, irrespective of who gave it to them.

Suzaku Kururugi

Suzaku Kururugi is the son of Genbu Kururugi, Japan’s most recent prime minister. Until after the conflict, the public was unaware of his existence. As part of a political peace exchange, Suzaku met Lelouch vi Britannia and his sister Nunnally vi Britannia in the Kururugi house.

Suzaku disliked Lelouch Lamperouge at first because he mistook him for a royal who didn’t care about anybody. But, as time went on, he got to know Lelouch more, and the two became great friends. When Britain invaded Japan, they were split, but they were rejoined in the Shinjuku Ghetto.

Suzaku’s physical prowess is unsurpassed, despite the fact that he lacks the outwardly superhuman abilities of Geass. He has excellent hand-eye coordination and has received significant military training in weaponry and hand-to-hand combat.

Shirley

Code Geass Shirley is a part of Ashford Academy’s student council and a cheerful and enthusiastic student. She is also a member of the school’s swim team. Shirley is the first student to contact Suzaku Kururugi after his transfer to the school, and she goes out of her way to help others feel appreciated.

She adores Lelouch Lamperouge and is having trouble attracting his attention. Mao describes her as a girl who “fishes for attention.” Although she is not particularly clinging, she is irritated when she sees Lelouch with other girls or when he abruptly hangs up the phone on her.

Kallen

Code Geass Kallen is a youthful Britannian-Japanese woman. Her mother is an Eleven who raised her children for the majority of their lives. Before his death, her brother, Naoto Kozuki, was a former commander of a resistance movement with whom she had a close relationship.

Kallen joined the same guerilla resistance group against Britannia after his death, which was later reconstituted into the Order of the Black Knights by Lelouch vi Britannia a few years later. Kallen is a highly talented Knightmare Frame pilot who can compete with the Knights of Rounds.

By adversaries and comrades alike, she is known as the Black Knights’ ace pilot. In algebraic Chess notation, her codename “Q-1” refers to the Queen piece, which is the most powerful piece in the game.Add block

Code Geass Review

Critical Reception

Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion Anime or Kōdo Giasu Hangyaku no Rurūshu Anime has received generally good ratings from critics.

Audience Rating

It has a weighted average score of 8.7 on IMDb and 94% by Google users. It has gained a large fan following and fans love it. It also has 8.7 on MyAnimeList.net. There is a reason so many people are hyped for a new season.

Our Review

Story: We really liked how this narrative unfolded; it’s similar to Deathnote in that the first episode immediately draws you in and the second one keeps your curiosity heightened. The rest of the episodes build on the basic plot and twist and turn it, but you have a good understanding of what’s going on the whole time. Despite the storyline’s resemblance to Deathnote, we were able to uncover a number of other elements. This reminds me of a cross between Deathnote’s “I want to transform the world to my liking” and Full Metal Alchemist’s “What is a human capable of?” It’s highly psychological in nature and presents people to a new way of thinking.

Art: Overall, the art is fine; nevertheless, we are not particularly critical when it comes to art. We were occasionally put off by Leloouch’s blocky hair, but that was only on rare occasions.

Sound: We don’t recall any music in the episodes, except for the small mood enhancers, which were excellent.

Characters: There is a lot of character development in this anime. Lelouch Lamperouge gradually turns cruel (much like Light from Death Note), but he manages to keep his human emotions for his sister and companions. C.C. undergoes some changes as well, becoming increasingly open to Lelouch over the series (though it appears that he is manipulating her).

Suzaku’s transformation from a loving, lovely boy to a killer as a result of what Zero does to him is my favourite character development (not spoiling hopefully). The remainder of the characters go through simple changes as well.

Overall, we can’t wait for the third season to be released. Code Geass provides everything for anyone who enjoys a decent combination of genres. Watch Code Geass if you’ve finished Deathnote and are suffering from obsessions and whatnot.

Anime like Code Geass

Code Geass has politics which decides the fates of the nations. Along with great worldbuilding and characters.

It has everything an anime fan will need. Decent Story, Supernatural Elements, Dark Fantasy. Animes that have similar concepts or have something a Code Geass Anime fan would like are:-

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Edward and Alphonse’s adventure, like that of Code Geass, prompts them to ask questions about themselves and a parental figure. These two shows include children-and-creature experiments in their series, which is supposed to infuriate the heroes of each episode.

After Code Geass, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the one to watch if you’re seeking another adventure series that delves deep into the brains of its characters and their perceptions of the world around them.

Death Note

In Death Note, the main character Light Yagami gets hold of a book called Death Note which can kill anyone whose name is written on it and have control of life and death of the populace.

Similarly Lelouch has Geass by which he can control anyone and make them obey his commands.

Log Horizon

Log Horizon is an anime about a college engineering student named Shiroe who ends up getting stuck among thousands of other people in a video game.

Shiroe and his Akatsuki and Naotsugu mates are trapped in the Elder Tale smash-hit game where they have to battle other players and even monsters to keep living. During the game, the three friends meet and team up to try and solve a variety of complex puzzles and flee from the game and return to earth.

No Game No Life

No Game No Life’s story revolves around Sora and Shiro, a brother and sister whose reputations as brilliant NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) hikikomori (shut-in) gamers spawned urban legends around the Internet. Only these two gamers view the real world as just another “crappy game.”

Code Geass English Dub:

The good news for those who like watching anime shows in English is that the anime has a pretty great English dub that was made in view of an international audience.

Code Geass Season 3 is Coming or Not?

There are a lot of questions like Is Code Geass Season 3 Cancelled? or Is The Code Geass Season 3 Season 2 Confirmed?

It’s been fourteen years since its second season aired, Code Geass Season 3 has a large fan base that is eagerly anticipating the new season. It has a devoted fan base that matches practically anything else in anime.

It was an immediate hit with Code Geass Manga series fans and new audiences alike, and fans have been waiting for a second season to hear the news since then.

The new season which might be titled Code Geass R3 will happen soon. There are many leaks which say that Code Geass R3 Release Date is in current year.

What We Can Expect From Code Geass Season 3:

There is still a lot of confusion surrounding the season 3 and whether it will happen or not. Most of the confusion surrounding the Code Geass Season 3 stems from the films released many years ago.

The film’s plot will serve as an alternative timeline to anime adaptation, creating a new direction in which Emperor Lelouch Lamperouge, the show’s main character is alive and well.

The good news is that the third movie finished with the life of Lelouch Lamperouge as he bequeathed Suzaku’s Zero name. While Lelouch of the Resurrection served as a sequel storyline. If the creators deem it necessary to create a fifth film, then they do have some avenues to explore as opposed to Code Geass Season 3 where it would’ve moved forward without Lelouch Lamperouge.

Fun fact, he flew with C.C after Lelouch gave up the Code Geass Zero mantle. And the alias L.L. took over, which Taniguchi explained as Lelouch’s idea of a proposal.

Code Geass Season 3 Release Date Expectations

Because the movie Code Geass Lelouch of the Resurrection release date was recent, which continues the story of anime, The studio will take some time to come up with the story for Code Geass Anime Season 3.

Personally, I believed Code Geass Season 3 Release Date would not take place as the series was quiet all these years (nearly a decade) and the anime ended at the end of Season 2 story-wise. That was until the release of Lelouch of the Resurrection. But still Code Geass R3 Release Date might be coming soon.

Code Geass Z of the Recapture, A new Code Geass Anime series was announced on December 5, 2020, Lelouch’s birthday. This new Anime is part of a 10-year plan for the Anime franchise by Studio Sunrise, with Yoshimitsu Ohashi to direct with Noboru Kimura as scriptwriter, and Takahiro Kimura returning as character designer. It will come back better than ever before and take the world of anime by storm.
